Please use the following guide lines for entering individual player statistics:

Batter / Runner Stats

DNP - Player did not play (sick, vacation, no show etc.)
HR's - Enter only home runs that are hit over the fence for Major League players. For younger divisions over the fence or uncontested inside the park homeruns. Please no triples or doubles with throwing errors.
RBI's - Enter only runs batted in, not runs resulting from a walk, passed ball, as a result of an error, or runs scored during a double play.
Runs - Enter runs scored by that player (the player that crossed the plate).

Pitching Stats
Wins - Pitching wins, player that was pitching (pitcher of record) for the winning team when they took the lead for the final time.
Innings - Innings pitched. If a player throws one pitch in an inning or pitches the entire inning, it counts as one inning toward the pitches limit for the week. (Use whole innings only please).
K's - Strikeouts thrown by that pitcher.
BB's - Bases on balls pitched (walks) including hit batters (HBP).

In the commentary section of the form, give an overview of the game or the "game flow". Include things like big plays, outstanding effort, improvements, and other positive aspects of the game as well as pitching changes. Remember, parents will use this as a resource to see how their child's team is doing. The players will read these as well, so stay positive. Through the course of the season, try and get everyone on the team recognized. It will go along way to build a players confidence to see his name "in lights". Manchester Little League retains the right to revoke access to this area of the site at anytime. Commentary will most likely be left unedited as submitted by you. However, the commentary contents may be edited by Manchester Little League, without explanation, if deemed necessary. Again, all of this is for the players, and all the players are kids, stay positive, stay objective, be fair

The Latest - Standings - Tie Breakers - and Team Seeding

Below is a copy of the "Standings / Tie-Breakers" Rule in the standings rules. The final standings are used to "seed" the teams for the city tournaments. The highest seed ( lowest seed number i.e. 1 ) is the first place team based on "final" standings. For the City tournament, the highest seed (lowest number) is always the home team regardless of the field that the game is scheduled on. In the event that 2 teams with the same seed meet (like 3 National vs 3 American) the home team will be determined using the same tie breaker system below.

Rule 14 - Standings / Tie-Breakers

Best Record
The League champion is the team with the best overall record at the conclusion of the regular season.

Tied Record
If two or more teams have an identical overall record at the end of the regular season, the following tie breakers will be followed in the below sequence until the final standings are established:

Head to head record against each other.

Best overall record against teams within their league. (A.K.A. Division Record)

Best record against individual teams (who are not currently tied) within their league. Comparing each tied teams’ head to head record against each team, starting with the first place team continuing through the last place team until one of the tied teams has an advantage over the other(s).

Compare records against teams (who are not currently tied) from the opposing league using the procedure in part 3 above.

The league president, in the presence of the tied teams' managers, determines the winner using a coin toss.

Hope that helps clear up some questions.

I want to take a second to encourage anyone who visits this message board to use this forum to ask questions, express opinions or throw out ideas for all to see. Please be constructive and remember that our players read this too.
The first season we had this message board running we had a lot of posts, questions, ideas, comments, etc. Last season it seemed that visitors to the message board, for one reason or another, didn't want to post anything on the board. This is a public message board. If you post a question here, it's probably a question that other people had as well. It's a chance to help spread information about Manchester Little League.

So go ahead... just ask....
